Clips & OBS

Clip Search (!clip)

You can search through your entire clips and find the one matching your criteria, with a simple command.

Format

bash
!clip <search term> <another search term and so on>

Example

bash
!clip moose

This will give you a clip with the word "moose" in it's title. If there are more than one clips matching this criteria then one of them will be chosen at random.

Example with multiple search terms

bash
!clip moose stomp

This will give you a clip with both "moose" and "stomp" in it's title.

Create Clip from chat (!clipthis)

This will create a 30 second clip.

Usage

bash
!clipthis

Note: Sometimes there are issues on Twitch side which will prevent Mycroft from creating clips. If this happens, you'll see a message saying "Sorry but looks like Twitch is having trouble creating a clip."

For this reason, Mycroft will wait for 15 seconds before posting URL of the created clip.

Monitor Clips

Mycroft can monitor any newly created clips and periodically post it in chat.

This is disabled by default. You can enable it from admin website. The setting name is "Monitor & post newly created clips".

Play clips while you're away

Mycroft can keep playing clips while you're taking a break and want to keep your viewers entertained in the meanwhile.

Video Player

Add below URL as browser source in your favorite streaming software(OBS, X-Split, Twitch Studio etc.). We recommend stretching the layer(browser source) to full screen, so that the clips are played in full screen.

Format

bash
https://cdn.mycroft.gg/obs/playclips.html?user=<twitch login name>

Managing the rotation

(Mod/Streamer only)

You can manage which clips go into the rotation from the admin website, or from chat using !addclip(add a clip by URL to the rotation) and !clearclips(empty the rotation).

Command output as OBS Layer

You can show output of any custom command on screen as a widget in few easy clicks.

e.g. you can create a dynamic command using counters to display death count. All you need to do then is to update the counter and the widget should automatically refresh every 3 minutes to show latest counter value.

Mycroft OBS Layer Configuration
